Abstract | Cilj je ovog istraživanja bio utvrditi antropološki status osječkih košarkaških sudaca kroz antropometrijska mjerenja i testiranje aerobnih kapaciteta. Leicht (2007). |
Abstract (english) | The aim of this research was to determine the anthropological profile of Osijek basketball referees. Through anthropological measurements and testing of aerobic capacity we attempted to achieve the desired results. This research included 12 basketball referees from the city of Osijek, of whom ten male referees and 2 female referees. In addition to the age of the subjects, we measured their morphological characteristics (body height, body mass, from which the body mass index, percentage of muscle mass and percentage of adipose tissue and visceral fat, and caloric expenditure in basal metabolism were calculated), and conducted a test to assess their functional abilities. Data on body composition and morphological characteristics were collected with an Omron BF 511 digital scale, and body height using a SECA stadium meter. Functional ability was assessed by the BEEP test. The data we collected, as expected, showed that the referees have a good anthropological profile and that they keep themselves in good physical shape. I would like to single out the data that on average referees have a BMI of 25.39, a percentage of fat of 20.34% and a percentage of muscle of 38.74%. In addition to such good characteristics for people who are no longer actively involved in sports, our referees also have high aerobic capacity. Through the BEEP test, we came to the result that our referees have an average maximum oxygen intake of VO2max of 49.58 (ml / kg / min) with BEEP test to VO2max calculator. In comparing the two levels of referees, we did not find a significant difference in the parameters, but we concluded that Osijek basketball referees have an above-average anthropological profile compared to the general population (A.S. Leicht, 2007). They also have a high level of aerobic capacity in which they do not lag behind even the most elite referees in the world (A.S. Leicht, 2007). |
