Abstract (english) | The aim of this paper was to determine the advantages of Kinovea performance analysis program perceived by the subjects while learning to perform the conventional deadlift. The sample of respondents consists of 15 female and 6 male recreational exercisers from the Dux fitness center in Osijek. Perceived benefits of using Kinovea performance analysis program were measured with a 6-item questionnaire created for this research purposes. The results show that the respondents believe that the video recording is useful for technique correction (4.67±0.66), that the delay option is useful (4.62±0.67), that by using video analysis it is easier to understand the coach's instructions (4,57±0.81) and that watching performance between sets is useful (4.48±0.75). Furthermore, a large proportion of respondents believe that the use of performance video analysis helps to improve technical performance (90.5%), identify technical errors (81%), improve safety during training (71.4%), monitor training progress (66.7 %) and monitor posture (61.9%). All respondents indicated at least one advantage, and 18 of them (84.7%) would recommend the use of video performance analysis when learning conventional deadlifts. Performance feedback provided through video allows the individual to review their own performance and adjust their next performance based on perceived errors and key moments in movement performance. The use of videos as a means of providing performance feedback is complementary to the verbal feedback given by the coach to the individual and leads to easier mastering of complex movements. It is necessary to make coaches, athletes and recreational exercisers aware of the possibility of using video recordings as a means of providing feedback, since it is very easily integrated into the training process and does not require expensive equipment or additional time during training. |
